A constant flow rate is obtained through a regulator valve and fixed air check valves.
And what this stream does is:
Avoid the debris of the septum caused by the injection needle falling into the injector.
Of course, in practice, people occasionally find spacer debris in the liner,
This means the septa were not replaced in time.
In other words, if the septa are not replaced in time,
It will cause possible gas leakage (carrier gas + sample after gasification)
For the gas phase, this is a big leak!! !!).
It can also contaminate the inlet with debris impurities.
